THE brilliantly named synthesiser, the Moog Slim Phatty, is being discontinued after five years.
The classic sounding analog mono-synth is used in top studios around the world and most notably by artists such as N.E.R.D.'s Chad Hugo and Orbital's Phil and Paul Hartnoll and was named by Juno in their top ten analog synths in 2011.
Fear not Moog lovers, it will still be made in limited quantities at the factory in Asheville, North Carolina and the company are also offering a series of free preset packs for the Slim Phatty for registered users.
